JD 250 skid steere engine starts and hesitates to come to full speed Then when it does using it bogs down

JD 250 at start up takes time to fully throttle up Then moving or using bucket bogs down then wait for it to throttle back up Filter is New Fuel pump carring proper pressure

    Welcome to HEF sinkmanstuck ! What is the fuel pressure? Does it start hard?

    What type of fuel system does it have.. It sounds like water in the inj pump but some are more forgiving than others.. so it’s important to know which u have before diagnosis..

    Depending on the serial number, either a DB2 or a DB4 injection pump.

    It DEFINITELY sounds like fuel contamination.. I can’t remember the last time I opened one up that wasn’t contaminated.. Here’s an easy check.. Remove the fuel return line off the top of the pump.. Now unscrew the fitting off the top of the pump.. Look at the bottom of the fitting, is it rusted.?? There’s your answer..

    4.5 lbs Fuel press yes it starts hard

    Thats the line coming off the end of fuel injector rail to the fuel injector pump

    If u have the 5 or 6 point tamper proof bit.. u can remove the top cover.. U must use a HAND IMPACT.. or you’ll snap off the screws.. You’ll probably need some heat on the cover, if they won’t move.. The return is the fitting ON TOP OF THE COVER..(PUMP) Good luck It’s just as easy to unscrew the fitting and look at the bottom for rust..

    Is your auxiliary lever/pedal partially or totally stuck on?
