So we have a JD 27ZTS that needs a new bucket pin. The machine has a thumb (or bucket clamp as Deere calls it) on the same pin as the bucket. The parts schematics calls for an AT317651 pin in this location, but the length of that pin is about 2.5" longer that what we need. We have the AT317651 pin here and it is indeed 2.5" longer than the existing pin. Does anybody have any advice or another part number? We are almost ready to call a machine shop and get one made at this point....
Yair . . . Why not just cut that one to length on the chop saw . . . take maybe thirty seconds and a few minutes to drill a new retainer hole.? Cheers.
This one has a cross hole (that we do not need) drilled in a very inopportune spot. And after all of the previous issues that this machine had from not getting built with pressure relief valves for the bucket and thumb the boss wants to keep it factory.
Yair . . . Gotcha Winch Cat. That's fair enough. Cheers.
Probably has an aftermarket thumb on it, would need to figure out the manufacturer and call them, if still in business (They tend to come and go) Or as you say have two made. Two. As in if you're having it done, make a spare. Cheers
