I broke a fitting on the stabilizer hose. How do I get to the end that's attached to the valve? It's in the woods, so crawling under the tractor is going to be rough. The manual seems to indicate that it can be approached from the top, but it's not clear.
maybe lift the stabilizer and hold it with a chain so you can get it to a better place to work on it?
There should be a small access floor pan where your feet would be when your operation the hoe. If you have a rubber mat you'll need to remove it or pull it up first. The stabilizer valves should be right under this pan. It's super easy access once you get this pan out. At least it's this way on my SE.
Depends on your serial number. Older s/n's the stabilizer valve is mounted right in front of the backhoe valve and can be accessed through the rear floor plate. Later s/n machines the stabilizer valve is incorporated with the loader control valve and that is mounted on the right frame rail below your loader lever and can be partially accessed from the front floor plate. Unfortunately on the later valve you will have to crawl underneath to do the hoses.
Luckily, there are access plates under the floor mats. Lost my 1/2" wrench though. Oh well, maybe it will turn up again.
