Have 1984 JD 350C dozer 6 way blade. Grease tensioners. The track on the left side is very tight and we cannot seem to get any slack in the track. Yes we loosened and eventually removed the bleeder. We tried putting a beam from the blade the the track and using the blade hydraulics to push the track adjuster in. All that happened was the rock spring or whatever you want to call it compressed. The track is pretty tight and I would like to loosen it some. Any way you can think of to get the tensioner working without breaking the track and rebuilding the tensioner?
Check to see if somebody welded something in there to keep it tight till he could fix it right, and just never got around to it.
There is nothing I found welded in or out of place. It looks fine. Just hoping to find a way to get it to slacken up without having to break the track and tear the tensioner all apart.
