Hi, currently working on a Jd 50d 5000h 0 4000hrs everything was fine . Traction redonne a 4000 ( idler roller , top roller , tension idler , sprocket and rubber track ) by JD dealer After that , the fun start Make 500hrs , 2 front idler worn out no more boushing. Put 2 new one . 500h later again bottom roller are scrap and front idler too Bottom roller are tapper ( interior is now smaller thant outer ) Track tension is at JD spec ( same as the first 4000hrs) Anyone have an hint ?
Are they fitting Berco parts? Also dig over the sprocket as much as possible, it keeps heaps of tension off the idler.
Berco and ITR , Nothing change in operation method but original idler last 4000hours and now can barely make 500
Measure the diameter, the width over all and the width where the rails run. With those numbers check out Komatsu track gear, they may make the same size. If they do it will be twice the price of Berco but they last. I did this on a track forestry mulcher and the difference was replacing idlers at 1000hrs to selling the machine with 4000hrs on the idlers and they were still good.
