my uncle passed away a few months back and my dad now has his JD 510 loader/backhoe. Thing is its been sitting for a few years, and the steering barely moves. It moves a little bit, but it's like something has dried out and needs a good grease up. So he is looking for an exploded parts drawing of the steering system of the JD 510, so he has an idea of what he is looking at before he starts taking things off to grease it up. I believe he has found some grease nipples but they are blocked. He doesn't want to go hitting anything out with a hammer until he knows where all the clips/pins and small bits are ( in case he breaks them ). Any help/pics/links you could tell me about would be much appreciated. thanks. my email is [email protected] if you already have some and wish to send them straight to me. over the coming months he will probably need more advice on this machine, so any knowledge on it will be good.
Go to Deere.com and enter their parts page. Pretty easy to walk through. Go to construction, then parts and on the left parts catalog.Enter model number and then alphabetical index and the part you're looking for. When you get a parts page up on the screen, look over to the right and you will see a box that says "print selector", click this and hit "Illustrations and key lines" and it expands the diagram to full screen. Some security stuff will not alow the expand feature to work but you have your diagrams.
that's what I'm after! thanks for that.
