S# 142760 I am getting an active fault of 1701-5 (open circuit fan drive solenoid) I know it gets the signal from the TCU, but I need to know where the TCU is on the machine, and what pin at the TCU (or wire #, color) sends the signal for the fan drive operation. Any electrical schematic available through someone here? I also have a problem with my fan reverse not working at all.
The TCU is behind the machine monitor in the cab. The wires out to your Y5 proportional fan solenoid are H02 Green and G11 Black. H02 goes back to pin 14 on the X2 (bottom) connector at the TCU and G11 grounds out on the starter. Check for a loose ground, the Y6 reversing solenoid also grounds out at the starter, could be why both don’t work.
