I have a JD 850C SN:897430 Need to do track adjuster seals. Usually I can pull idler out and piston and reseal because the seals sit on the front side of the sway bar. But on this one the adjuster is located between the two top rollers on the track frame. So I cant pull the yoke out of the spring without topping out at next track sway bar. Do I need to compress spring or remove in order to get to seals? Or is there an easier way?
The spring needs to be compressed 1.5 inches. See screenshot for procedure below. You do not need to remove the recoil spring assembly.
