hi i had to change my starter a couple times and was told last time was due to diesel fuel getting into the starter... i had made a cheap cover from a bleach bottle.. but has anyone moved it so it no longer can leak on the starter... or a different filter... any pics ... i was thinking of shimming where it is then bolting a flat bar and move the filter closer to the first pump but i take any ideas... as i working on trying to chhange filter but not get the starter wet.. but guess i need to remove the starter really
Can't fix the leak ??
i think i can.. i think its just the o rings.. and i dont know are they special o rings like you know where the top and bottom and cut off so its like a square.. or if i can get the o rings from napa or carquest.. or if its a special john deere... the website that john deere used to have for parts no longer works .. you helped me in 2019 about the relay on the destroke pump solinode. .but workong on that again... but ya i havent taken it off yet i just shut the valve off at the tank.. and i should have done the fuel filter before i stuck the new starter in over the weekend
The O-rings come with the filter. Put a bowl under the filter. Bad Bob

My t Racor My tractor ( JD310A ) has a cover over it. If you change the filter there are new o rings. But I install another filter in front of that filter. It also has a sediment bulb on it. I had mico debris getting through the glass filter. Also took off the full sending unit on the fuel tank and vacuumed out all the debris in my tank.
