After 20 min of using hoe, boom cylinder makes a bad creaking noise. I checked all pivot points and regreased, but i beleive its cylinder itself. Does it need to be rebuilt, is it air, what could it be? Thanks, joe
extend it all the way out and get a metal ruler as a straight edge, see if the rod has a bend in it. Cycle it 8-10 times and then extend it all the way, hop off and feel it, if the piston is binding the cyl will be hotter than heck. If its bent or hot its likely gotta come off.
boom noise Thanks, today it took 2 hrs before it started to make noise and doesnt really do it when i use it fast cycle, only slow. There is a black grease at end of shaft near tractor, the boom also drops a tiny bit about every minute. Joe
