We have a 2004 JLG 600A boom lift. The lower boom extension switch does not work from the bucket, but works from the ground controls. Is there some type of limit switch that prevents it working from the bucket until it reaches a certain height? We are baffled.
No. You either have a bad switch in the basket or bad wiring from platform controls to terminal strip in the ground control box. All ground/basket function switches terminate there. Key switch position separates the two. Down load the wiring schematic on jlgs web site and you will be able to check at the ground control box and go from there
