just bough a deer that would barely pull onto the truck, though the regular clutch was bad, broke tractor into an it looked great, put back together an still want hardly move, need to figure out the clutch packs for the forward an reverse packs, need to find out how an were to check them out.
Do other hydraulic functions operate OK? One thing to check is the shaft that runs across from the clutch pedal to the reverser valve. Its coupled at the reverser valve with a solid hardened groove pin that can/does break and it makes the machine run like your foot is on the clutch pedal.
yes sir all the hyds seem to work ok other than the regular chatter here an there while raiseing the front bucket up, ill look into the role pin being broke maybe that's it,
hadn't removed the cover to the shift plate yet, but I did remove the lever from the clutch arm lever in the bell housing an adjusted the lever some, seemed to try an drive lil better but still really not like suppose to, saw there was what looked like a plug in that cover, looks like possibly can put a test fitting there to check oil press. is that so , if so any idea what press. should be?
