Where is filler for the hydraulic tank on this jd 500c backhoe?

    Through the dip stick under the seat.

    Jd500c i new the trans stick under the seat but thoughts there was a separate one for hyd. Cylinder's=the pump is in front of motor on this machine 1973 j d 500 c thank's for post

    Hydraulic and transmission fluid all the same reservoir/system on that vintage of a Deere backhoe. Yep, get a long/tall, skinny funnel.
