fuel filter, injection pump. is the first two things that come to mind. THere is one more thing but i cant remember what i have heard on these. maybe something in the tank or blocking a screen. Will check tomorrow.

tool king i just got off the phone with a tech friend and it might be the plunger in the injection pump that is sticking or is wore. Or it could be the ECU, but is very doubtful. And I don't know if you can buy or fix the plunger. I believe they cost some where in the $1000-1500 range. Haven't checked on one lately. What did you ever come up with??

Check the diagnostic gauge by the batteries. See if it has a yellow led lit up. Scroll through until you see serv code on screen and then press both buttons at the same time. record codes scroll again until you see stor codes. press both buttons at the same time again and record the codes. report back here with what you find

Curious what you figured out on this issue. I seem to be having a very similar problem.
