changing the turntable grease on a cat 365

got a call tonite asking if i was interested in doing some maintainance work for my brother in law. he has a cat 365bl used for cranberry bog excavations.anyhow the piston for the quick coupler needs to be removed so cat can rebuild it. simple enough....he also wants the grease in the table replaced. ive done this on a 315 but never anything this big. on the 315 we removed the cover...scooped out the grease. swung 1/16 of a turn...scooped up more grease etc etc. then we packed in new grease the same way we removed the old grease. is it the same principal for the 365? he has all the tools and the grease . just wondering if this is some thing i can handle or should cat do it?

My volvo manual says to inspect the swing gear grease, but i don't know what i am looking for. If i remove the cover i find it packed with white grease. Grease looks like it was white from new, as opposed to grease that has absorbed a lot of water. It is pure white. If you stick your fingers in there you find under the packed grease is a hollow where the swing gear runs. The rack isn't dry, but is isn't covered in grease either. Do i need to add some, change the grease, or what? What is it supposed to look like in there? Ken

The grease in the volvo 240 is white, Add some grease or change it if adding about 10 tubes spread out evenly should do it. you ne ver stated how many hrs. on the grease
