I have been fighting intermittent issues with our 2007 JD 200CLC for several months. The first issue is a injector issue. One time when you start it, it will run smooth. When you turn the engine off and restart it may run rough like an injector not firing. It may take a few attempts of turning off and restarting to get it to run smooth again. Sometimes the miss will show up while operating the machine when it has been running smooth. It sound like air in the system. We changed the fuel filters again today. That did not help. The second issue happened previously but has not been seen for a couple of months. It returned this past week and may be related to the first issue. The check engine light comes on and you can feel the reduction in power when it is on. I understand the light comes on when the power is decreased 50%. We checked codes on the ECU and found that there are 3 currently registering. SPN 174 Fuel Temp Signal FMI 3 Out of Range High SPN 1076 Fuel Inj Control Pump Valve FMI 13 Fault SPN 1569 Engine Power Derate FMI 31 Condition Exits Has anyone else ran into a situation such as this? It has been suggested that the wiring harness may be bad but I do not see any physical damage. I am trying to avoid needlessly swapping parts.
90% of the problems are injection pump related.. BUT the LIFT PUMP is the primary cause of the inj. pump failing.. Change the lift pump & see if things get better.. What happens is> the LP goes bad & the IP has to suck the fuel all the way from the tank & eats itself up in doing so.. Hope this helps.
Hey pumpguy! I have a customer with a Deere 5045E tractor, it's on his farm so it's not close to me, but after it warms up(it has cold start advance) it starts missing, blowing white smoke. He had someone come look at it and hooked fuel straight to the pump and it still does the same, they advanced the pump timing a little and it helped but still not right. They pulled the pump and took it somewhere, they said there was nothing wrong with it. It has no transfer pump but with it running you can pump the filter pump and it clears up. Have you seen trouble like this with this pump? Thanks
TWR> that would tell me that there is a "supply" problem.. your using the hand primer to FORCE fuel TO the injection pump.. IF the inj. pump has an overflow valve on it.. its there to HOLD PRESSURE in the inj. pumps pumping gallery.. if the OVFLO VLV is BAD, it dumps the fuel before the pumping plungers get a full shot of fuel..
we looked at parts book and they offer an elt. fuel pump opt. he put one on it and it helped also but its funny never needed before I will tell him thanks for the help
You may be having 2 different issues. I have seen this model act up because of an injector at start up , a leaky nozzle. The high fuel temp, maybe a wiring issue of faulty sensor, which will cause it to derate. I have seen a bad wire in the harness that supplies voltage to the controller and will reduce power to the pump, in which case , they normally die, and won't start. This is an early version of the electronic controlled engines.
If it has the DE10 pump I’ve also seen the wire terminals at the pump plug fail just due to becoming brittle over time may intermittent due to shaking and not making constant contact. You can re-pin the wires and that’s a cheap easy first step to diagnose.
They popped injectors replaced one replaced heat sensor it just seems to be still in pump thanks
Will pass it on wish it was here so I could see it thanks
