John Deere 210LE rear controls stopped working

I'm trying to help friends who are relaying information to me. The rear controls of their JD 210LE all worked when they parked it last week and then this week none of the rear 4 control levers work anymore. They say it has plenty of hydraulic oil and no hydraulic leaks. Does anyone know something in common with the 4 rear controls that is not shared with the front controls? The front controls all still work fine. Thanks if anyone can help, George

No idea what the problem is, but here's a bump for the question. Whether you find out a fix to the problem here or elsewhere, let us know what it was.

Sounds like a power beyond plug has fallen out.Does the backhoe work when you stall the loader (pull the bucket lever back until it bottoms then try the backhoe)

When they took one of the hoses off and operated the control there was still hydraulic pressure. It looks like after sitting a couple of months, the seals in the rear cylinders were letting the hydraulic fluid blow past them so they are working on rebuilding the cylinders now. Sorry for the delay in getting back about this. George

Makes no sense to me. Those seals could sit for two decades and be fine. Let us know what happens next.

I'm curious now. It seems highly unlikely for cylinders on 4 circuits to fail. I bet it is in the control valve or something related. Is there a relief valve that could be stuck open?

No backhoe on a 210le, but I bet you're on to something here. If the skip loader shares the same setup as a tractor with a conventional 3pt (pretty sure it does), it runs through the power beyond hyd system. I had this happen on my tractor a month ago. At the end of a gravel pull the box blade wouldn't raise off the ground. It went from working perfectly to nothing. Turns out that it was a loose power beyond plug. BTW - The loader still worked fine. For future reference, power beyond is the system that is tapped into to setup a 4n1 or grapple.
