Need some help since I am new to working on the hydraulics of an excavator. Recently bought this excavator with this issue. Right after you start the machine it will work decently, not fast but useable. Its has some codes under the ENGINE GOVENOR CONTROLER. But there's a bad spot in the screen that covers up two of them, but one I can see is 641-12. Alarm goes off telling you to check the engine etc. But the engine sounds good with good oil pressure so we havent been scared to run it. About 45 seconds in, all functions get slower and slower, and the pumps start surging. And you can barely get anything done. Fiddle with the controls (hp/P/E), and its resets and you can run it for another 45 seconds. Any thoughts? For John Deere to come out is $180 an hour plus travel time, plus $2.95 a mile. Im an hour from the dealer, so Im trying to check everything within my ability before having them come out.
