Hello! We have a 78-79' 2840. Recently the 3 Point only goes up and won't go down. We have tried everything to get it to move and now we are trying to take the housing off under the seat. Does anyone know how that comes apart? We have unbolted all the bolts but don't want to break anything. Thanks in advance.
The "housing" is the whole lift cover which runs from the very back all the way up to the joint behind the shifter levers and just lifts straight up. Unlike the 4000 series which the lift control comes off as a unit beside the lift cylinder, all of the workings are on the underside of the lift cover, same as a Ford.
