i have a 1982 310a that runs very well and operates very good, but it seems that all of the functions, meaning, bucket, stabilizers, and backhoe all leak down fairly bad.i have had most of the cylinders rebuilt, and even rebuilt the loader control valve myself.when i try to use my pallet forks on the bucket, the bucket will drift down very rapidly, and i just had both curl cylinders rebuilt by a professional shop, they said they were in excellent shape.when i checked the spools in the loader valve, they were not scored and seemed very good for something with 6500 hours on it.am i missing something, or is this just what happens when a machine gets old, thanks for looking and you guys have been a great help in the past thanks, steve
the control may have port reliefs in it. old, and hardened orings may be the problem check to see if there is any "slop" (fwd to rear movement) in the spool itself. broken or weak centering spring, or loose spring retainer :drinkup
thanks for the advice,i will check in to that.
