john deere 310d hydraulic problem

when running oil gets hot and machine goes out of stroke. have set priority relief pressure and steering pump relief but oil gets hot and goes out of stroke. new pump and steering orbital .

    Welcome to HEF Paul ! A serial number please. A 310D does not have a destroking pump. Does the decals on your machine say 310"D"? Are you losing your hydraulics, or just your steering?

    310d 805884 loseing hydraulics and steering and priority valve gets smoking hot.

    Picture would help... the early straight 310/410/510 were made in Dubuque so often had a "D" on the model tag, VERY confusing after they got a few generations down the line. Sounds like you have something bypassing a LOT somewhere.

    Thank you Delmer. Sometimes life has a way of moving you in directions you have no control over, you just have to hang on and hope the air bags work. Maybe I can add something of value here before the next tsunami hits, lol.

    priority valve is located under step on right side, not above oil tank
