Good afternoon, everyone. I'm having a problem with a John Deere 310J backhoe. The temperature rises when it's going uphill or working in mud in 4x4. When it gets too hot, the machine stops and the temperature stabilizes. Could it be a leak in the transmission or a problem with the torque converter? I would appreciate any information you can share, as I only have Caterpillar manuals, not John Deere ones.
Egr could be plugged has it been checked?
Engine temperature or transmission temperature?
Engine temperature
How hot is it getting? Hot enough to set a DTC? Confirmed with an infrared temp gun? Cooling package clean? Those machines collect debris between the radiator and AC condenser. Sealing baffles in place all around the cooling package? Belt and belt tensioner in good shape? Coolant in good condition?
