John Deere 333G Skid Steer Overheating

We have a 2021 John Deere 333G with a mulching head. The hydraulics are good temp but when using the mulching head, debris covers the side shields so fast that you have to get out every 10-20 mins and clean the shields to restore air flow. We are utilizing the reverse fan every 10 mins but it still is not enough. Had any one figured this out? Please let me know.

Welcome to HEF Beaver ! When starting a thread, a complete machine serial number is always a must for accurate information gathering. Deere does make a High Debris Application Kit, but that is only for the "F" serial number machines (see why we need a serial). Unfortunately, that kit is to help prevent debris from entering the engine compartment, not to stop it from collecting on the side shields. If they came up with any other solution to the side shields plugging, I am not aware of any, nor could I fins anything. The only other thing I can think of is to check that the fan speed is up to spec. Maybe when it reverses, it does not have the speed to blow out the debris. Unfortunately again, there is no spec for reverse, only for forward. I would imagine the reverse at full throttle, operating temperature would be close to the forward full speed (2450-2600 rpm).

Been a while since I posted. The biggest issue we are having is you cannot use a high flow attachment for more than 5-10 minutes before it over heats. Very frustrating. Any one have any idea on what we can check. Cannot afford to get Deere to come out again. Already spent way too much money on this 333G. Serial # 1T0333GMCMF396491

Engine overheat, hydraulic overheat, or both? Has the temperature been confirmed with an infra-red temperature gun? Has the cooling package been thoroughly cleaned? Is the fan turning? Do you have a photo tach to check the fan speed?

I had a lot of trouble with my 333G getting super hot and causing electrical problems. Fried back up camera and other components. Deere told me there was a kit for a higher powered fan. Did this for about $2,000. All well since.
