I need some help here. I have a 350Glc ser# 1FF350GXTCE808707 with slow hydraulic movement Boom uo, bucket curl, even track movement is slow. We have checked both pump pressures and are both 2400 at fast idle and 6000 psi at full extend of the boom. Pilot pressure is a steady 600. The JD field rep figured it was a valve block to the right of the pumps, so we replaced that with no improvement at $1000. We also replaced the main relief valve and still no improvement. The filters are new and new proper oil. I'm running out of ideas and could really use some imput on where to look next. And help is greatly appreciated.
Do you know how to access the service menu and check for codes? Key on, press and hod #9 and press down on the dial once. Release buttons. Now you should be in the service menu. While in the service menu what is the pump 1 and pump 2 control pressure readings when fully stroking the boom? Also while in the service mode, under monitoring, choose engine speed from the main controller sub menu and the engine sub menu. Do they match?
Pump 1 load factor 28% Pump 2 load factor 28% Pump 1 Delivery pressure 38.3 MP Pump 2 Delivery Pressure 38.0 MP Pump 1 Control Pressure 3.99 MP Pump 2 Control Pressure 4.07 MP Engine Torque 47% Actual engine speed 1797min Demand engine speed 1800 min Actual engine speed 1800 min This was at full extension of the boom No codes and Deere Rep found no code
It appears that they match. I posted it
Did this happen suddenly or over a period of time? Looks like all functions are slow, correct?
Happened while using the machine. Sudden. When we cap a line to either side of solenoid block shown that we replaced, it corrects the slow hydraulics. Bogs and will kill the engine at idle
Check that the solenoid connectors are the correctly matched to the solenoids and not switched. Just a thought. Best regards
Seems like i remember these solenoids were on a fused circuit but it may have been on another model.
The hose we capped goes to the block on top of the pump2 and tee to pump 1. I am not sure of the function. The other line we capped opposite of the first hose goes to the filter block. Either hose when capped cures the slow movement. It would if I could get direction of flow and identification of these blocks.
The top hoses when either one is capped cures the slow movement
Check the harness connector at the top solenoid for a good solid connection.
It has a solid connection. The one hose we capped goes from the solenoid block to the pump regulator. The other we capped goes back to the filter housing assy. Either one speeds up all hydraulic functions. Just not sure where to look for the culprit and cure. any
I do not have access to manuals for your excavator, but i believe that is a speed sense solenoid used to prevent engine stall. considering this was a sudden failure i suspect you may have a wiring issue. I also thank that solenoid is a variable resistance solenoid.
The top solenoid is the Torque Control Solenoid. It will destroke the pump if the rpm's get too low when the engine is loaded. The PVC removes current from the solenoid to increase the pressure to the pump regulator to destroke the pump. Check that the wires are correct like Kobe said. The correct wires to the top solenoid are labeled "ST". The bottom solenoid is "SB". Your one picture looks like it is wired correctly, just double check. I suspect either a broken wire to that solenoid that is preventing it from being energized, or there is leakage within the solenoid valve always allowing pressure to regulators to destroke the pump.
