Original jd 450. Engine runs good, good power. Has about 50 psi oil pressure per the guage at full throttle when cold. About 30 to 35 when cold at idle. When hot oil pressure is about 30 psi at full throttle, but falls to near zero at idle. Any ideas appreciated Stacy
Have you checked it with a mechanical gauge? I would just to make sure what you are seeing is actually what it is.
Had a similar issue with my 650G. Hot idle pressure (factory gauge) was about 7psi and would barely go into the green at full throttle. Bought a mechanical gauge from Napa and to my relief now has 37psi at hot idle and almost 60 at WOT.
