Howdy I have a John Deere 450 E dozer that disengages went on steep ground either forward or backward works fine and level or slight grade. Adjusted clutch pedal set pressure to spec 175 psi also had a gauge on it when trying it out and pressure would drop when disengaged And could push clutch and release and it would engage for a couple of seconds and then disengage.History behind machine that it had seal leaking on rear of engine that was replaced seals on front of transmission also replaced,transmission filter housing seal replaced also, which we had to go through the transmission to do and new hy-gard oil. Oil level is full
Any chance the pickup tube off the oil screen get installed wrong? Or maybe it has a hole in it?
It was attached when we put the filter housing seal on.didn’t see no hole or crack in it
Perhaps try overfilling the transmission. Then see if the problem persists.
I will try that when the weather is better been checking oil level when cold does machine need to be operating temp when checked
Oil level is full but if it gets over filled and its an issue of pickup sucking air due to an issue, then the angle of it not working will increase. Right now the only thing it can be is something with the pickup or checking level is not done correctly. Don't know your machine but mine needs to be warmed up and idling on level ground

I'm new here I have a jd 450c just rebuilt the transmission it pull good for 30-45 minutes then stops it has good oil pressure 180psi any help would be greatly appreciated
