Hi, We keep getting a high fuel pressure warning light on our 2012 JD 648H skidder. We've changed all fuel filters, and made sure all the lines and connections are clear of obstructions. Any suggestions about what else to check before we call a tech out for a service call?
Put a compucheck fitting in the fuel line and hook up a manual gauge to see what the actual pressure is. Could be a faulty sensor.
Check and see if there's a one way check valve before the primary filter housing.. Seen them plug up with debris before on John Deere excavators but I'm not sure about skidders never worked on one
can you rephrase the question? there is no such "light" in that machine. are you getting a service code? if so,what is it?
Sorry, I haven't seen the machine. This is the way it was phrased to me.
Like cutting edge says there should be code associated with this warning. Supply side issues will give a low rail pressure warning. The fuel filter nearest the radiator is where I usually find the problem if it is a blockage issue. Trash gets hung in the flap in the filter head. Also make sure electric lift pump is operational. You may have to use the menu to get to the code section to get the actual code number, other wise it's just a guess.
