Have a JD 70d that wants to run warm. Buzzer and light comes on, but temp hand stays just into red. Any tricky spots for this machine. Belt is tight, took thermo out. same thing. Thanks much.
Buy one of those laser temp readers and make sure you are overheating. We have a track loader that was doing the same thing. After replacing the thermostat, pump, and radiator we found out it was the temp sensor. Spent 40.00 to find out it was the sensor all along
Bull, The radiator has got to be clean for it to cool. I have no experience with a JD machine but I"m sure it has at least an oil cooler and AC components stacked against the radiator. You have to seperate all these to make sure there is no debris hung between them. You want to make sure the very delicate fins on each one are clean, so wash them out with a garden hose, not a pressure washer. Spray the water straight into the fins (at a 90 degree angel) otherwise the water won't penetrate. Hopefully JD designed the oil cooler and AC component such that they can be seperated far enough for cleaning without disconnecting the hoses.
