We have a few links, bushings, and pins that need replaced. Everything else looks good on the chains but apparently some Rocks did bad things to a few links. CAT has all the parts available but curious if there are other economical sources for these? I think the links were 35 each, pins were 7 each, and bushings were 16 each. Not a huge bill but if they are available in the aftermarket, it might be worth making a contact in case we break more.
Be careful if you are mixing Cat and aftermarket. On some machines different brand chains have different press fits for the pins and bushings.
Yair . . . Good comment QuickTrax. We even once got some masterpins from Cat. that were impossible to fit. Cheers.
On older machines Cat have an aftermarket line called " Classic" . We bought a carrier idler and were impressed.

You will also need to consider that it needs a fcukoff big press (100+ tons-ish) to R&I pins and bushes. Remember that the pins are pressed into the links and so are the bushes so it needs all sorts of dollies to push the relevant parts. Not something that you would consider doing in the field.
