How do i remove the swing cylinder for 310-B john Deere Backhoe
Often not easy. Remove clips from rod pins, knock out upper & lower pins. Remove 2 bolts holding Trunnion pin bars, upper & lower. Disconnect necessary hydraulic hoses in the way. Make a press with 3-4" pipe few inches long & a bar across with a 3/4" hole. I used 4" square steel instead of round pipe. For bar-(1/2" thick bent, went to 3/4" thick steel) Clean threads inside of pins & insert 3/4" grade 8 bolt 3-4" long thru the press & tighten bolt till the collar pops loose. My lower was seized & required cutting torch on collar then a steel bar welded to pin as a lever to shake it loose. Pic is press attached to trunnion, square pipe is on the ground. Even the technical service manual was not crystal clear how to do this. Use anti-seize during reassembly. Pray they're not seized
I'd guess he got removed sometime in the last 10 years but your post could be helpful to someone else.
