Nothing to see here right?
Just the title alone irks the grammar Nazi within me. The world does not run on unicorn farts and pixie dust. What the hell happened to common sense? Why can't these idiots understand that diesel engines are one of the most efficient forms of energy conversion currently known? Sure, electric is nice but the efficiency losses and associated costs of operation of electric not only make it more expensive but also more environmentally destructive in comparison to diesel engines. As a thermodynamics professor once told our class, "The system is too large to be affected by human interaction on anything but a negligible factor. Orbital variations, sun spots, solar flares, volcanoes and other natural phenomena outweigh anything that humans can do to this planet to change the climate." Best advice on global bs that I've ever heard. Numbers don't lie but politicians do.
