Kawasaki loader no bucket crowd

Leeballs · 2023-10-12 22:41

Hi all I have a Kawasaki z60-3 wheel loader that the bucket wont crowd one direction unless the boom function is used but is fine the other direction but if you put weight on the bucket by lifting the front of the loader it will work both directions fine, any ideas? Does this while hot and cold. Anyone have a repair manual?

Do you think it’s really working in both directions when you put down pressure on it or is it just rolling back because you are leaning on it? I’m wondering if you may have a bad relief on the bucket valve. Since the bucket is usually first in line for oil, it may relief down stream to the lift valve side. This if the lift valve is also being used, it would take away a path to tank, forcing the bucket tilt function to work. Maybe pulling the reliefs will give you an idea. If they don’t appear bad, you could try swapping them and see if the situation changes. Just spit balling some ideas. I’ve seen something like this on a 988h cat once. Can’t remember if the symptoms were exactly the same though.
