Moved a few loads from a spoil pile to a low spot terrace ditch then moved some leftover concrete spoil(bucket load) to the ditch beyond the field behind my shop. Knocked a little fresh paint off but had to stop as the snail trail that developed as I got back into the drive was fairy evil looking. Coming down around the converter to engine area, not losing hydraulic oil and usually check trans while running, getting late so said it can set awhile until I get some time to crawl under.
Puddle: Also found have a weak upper roller(squeaking and wobbles when pry on) left rear, that will get changed after I find the trans/clutches oil leak.
Looks like we have work to do when I come get the welder
Maybe!!
Well at least a easier fix when feel up to it Hydraulic shop is just over forty miles away but will need take in both trans cooler hoses as one popped This is at rear of engine Also got started breaking in a new rock yard creeper!
The culprit Now need to run into Union and see if E&E can make them and gaskets
Nice to see you were able to wear a bit of paint off the bucket there DM. It must seem quite a bit lighter than that other monstrosity that was on there eh?
Worked so much easier until it sprung the leak!!
Well the hydraulics shop has the hoses. Going to have to modify the antique yet again as they are going to add weld on JIC males to the flanged fittings and build hose to connect to those fittings where I will just be re-installing the old flanged units separately. Be a day or two getting all fixed up then they will UPS them back to me. I also took my spare trans pump to them, took one look at my spare Eaton Cessna trans pump and shuddered, already did some foot work for them as had p/n for end cap/mounting flange, they are going to tear it down, polish it up and clean it up then reassemble and test with all new seals in it. Will become my standby when the weak monster in my monster gives up.
Hoses back today, still have to unbox them as had other stuff going on along with a steady to hard rain system working thru.
Boys did a awesome job on the replacement hoses Just awaiting the rains to dissipate and they will go on.
Hoses laced in reasonably well, the forward hose could be another 4" longer but I will live with it.
So it looks like they made up an adaptor to go to from flange to JIC flare? Is that fitting silver soldered or tig welded on?
They had the JIC males in stock that would slip over the old tubing. Silver soldered. Took longer to cut the gaskets than to install all. Next tackle the valve cover leak then the L Rear upper roller swap.
Well all on hold yet AGAIN! Off to the orthopedic shop as my lower back may NOT be such a issue as thought. Yesterday at the regular Pain and Torture(PT) session the young tech was commenting as to how much trouble my Sacrum Iliac (SI) joint has been while she was exercising my right leg to check mobility and stretch tendons checking my core strength which in being very good had her baffled. She had me laying on left side and raised my right leg to around thirty degrees and !BAM! serious issue, made me draw up, I almost kicked or dragged her across the table! She had VERY BIG eyes!, asked if I was OK, apologized for missing this some weeks ago and asked if she could check something else. Had me lay on back, moved right leg off the table slightly and bumped the sole of my foot with her thigh; YOWIEEE!, now she is again confused calls in two other techs and they perform this less exaggerated ONE MORE TIME, YOWIEE again. Hip issue, probably torn Labral tissues, going this morning for deeper Doc review. Probably did this setting fence in Feb. where nothing will help as to PT just make it madder. I really am not enjoying this getting older ****!!
