Kobelco 120LC mark 3 adding another hydraulic circuit

vermontfarmer · 2024-08-22 15:05

Hello, We have a Kobelco 120LC mark 3 kicking around the farm and we are wondering if we could add another hydraulic circuit to it. We have a neighbor looking to sell a few attachments like a brush mower that need a hydraulic hook up. I don't have a manual for it and the only experience I have with add hydraulics is to our tractor. Any advice would be welcome. thanks View attachment IMG_1119.jpeg View attachment IMG_1121.jpeg

You have some options for adding an additional circuit. Let me know as much detail that you have on the attachment or attachments you would like to run off the machine and how you would like to control the attachment from the cab, i.e. would you want electrical switching off the handle or pilot foot pedal. Once you have the specifications or running requirements of the attachments you want to install then we work backwards from that information. Kind regards

There are two main things we are looking to add. We currently have a mechanical thumb we would like to switch to hydralics. We would like to add a disc mulcher that runs between 25-50 GPM with one way flow(hammer mode). It would also need a case drain. I believe there are two pumps each putting out 31gpm is it possible to combine them on this excavator? There are a few other attachments but they would less demanding then the mulcher. A switch for the thumb on the the handle seems to make the most sense and could be a diverter not its only circuit right? The circuit running the could be a foot pedal or switch it would just need to still have all the functions of the arm while running. Thanks

should be able to come up with some options for that. I will look into this and come back to you. If you have a preferred global hydraulic valve and fittings supplier then email me their website details and I can try and use their part numbers for any additional valves and switches you would need if that helps. Kind regards

We don't have a preferred supplier.

Do you have additional pipes running down boom and stick?

No we would have to add those in.
