Hi all, posting for a neighbor who just purchased a 2013 blade runner, nice machine but keeps getting an 01028 error code related to a rubber exhaust hose that keeps blowing off one end. Dealer put on a new hose and it blew it off as well. Any idea what's going on? thanks
There is no error code named "01028"!! It just have "01082" & "10802" error codes and these error code not related to "rubber exhaust hose that keeps blowing off one end". Which one was blown out at one end in below image??
I will take a photo of the hose, and the error code is "01028". thanks
The hose is not shown on your diagram, but here it is in the attached photo.
Different markets may have slightly different set ups.
I think this hose is connected from the EGR cooler's output to the Throttle valve (the temperature behind the EGR cooler is not too hot ==> rubber hose can be used). But I was surprised and wondered why it was a rubber hose when the technical manual said it was a steel pipe!!
Hi bmc41 the hose you are pointing at in the picture is going into the throttle valve (item 44 in above picture) on the air intake side of the engine. Its pressurised air from the turbo. I have Seen your fault code before but can't remember what it is so will do a big of digging. Is the fault code on all the time or does fault code appear before hose pops off or after the hose pops off.
Could you post serial number for machine and post a picture of the code on screen
Hello Kobelco Ireland, the code comes on after the hose blows off. When the hose is reconnected the code will clear on its own. We've used two different types of hose clamps to secure the hose on, but today it blew off again. This was a new hose that was just put on.
That is your charge air hose from the cooler they have been known to blow off. Check you turbo waste gate first. If your not over boosting check your throttle valve. It is a poor design with the 90° elbow and almost no lip on the intake. I've had to use two clamps on some with green hose sealant.
Also that CCV tube that you have connected still you want to remove from the intake. its probably putting oil in your charge air system
Thank you Kyle for that info, it was in fact the waste gate, it has been replaced and the hose no longer blows off.
HI All i have a Kobelco sk135-3 that has the same fault code and is giving me grief to get it fixed, chain of events rubber hose from intercooler blew off, gave code 01028, machine derated, refitted hose , still derated with fault code 01028. replace turbo complete still derated with fault code 01028. replace boost pressure sensor. still derated with fault code 01028. Auto sparky checked wiring to boost sensor power and earth on boost sensor, good ground and 5 volt power as Kobelco said should be there. checked engine parameters boost pressure 100kpa when starting up, about 60% revs it goes up to 181kpa boost. removed boost sensor plug while engine running and it through 2 other codes, they disappeared as soon as i plugged the boost sensor back in. not sure what to do next? maybe a new ecm?

Have I changed the right sensor? Is it a dpf sensor fault? Or turbo boost sensor fault ?
Hi Kobelco Ireland , a local mechanic plugged in a computer and it came up with a message Engine intake manifold # pressure bad intelligence device or component. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi there, has anyone found the solution to this fault? I'm having the same fault code 01028 and the intake hose keeps coming off.
