Not sure but may have a bad ignition switch. (or could be the starter relay). Have a kobelco Sk 120 LC MK IV excavator. When you turn the switch to the "ON" position the engine starts and you have power to the gauges and controls. You have to turn the key back one notch to disengage the starter, and the machine keeps running but you lose power to the gauges and it will not operate (ie. no power to the control joysticks). Any ideas? Anyone got wiring diagrams? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Got it fixed. We had replaced the starter and you of my helpers had installed the starter. There was apparently a bare spot on the wire going to the the starter solenoid and it was touching the main hot wire going to the starter. Lesson learned........double check what others do. Thanks anyway.
