Kobelco SK290LC, the silver fitting next to the fuel tank fill, what is it? A tree knocked it off and gotta get it replaced. I hope it isn't too $$$$. THANKS!!
If you're describing the gizmo on top of hyd tank that had the little rubber bulb on top of it, you better replace it as soon as possible. First, without it, you'll get water and dirt in your hyd oil. Second, it's a hyd system pressurising valve. It creates pressure inside the hyd tank to help prevent cavitation of pumps and to prevent ingress of water from the outside getting into the system.
That sounds like it. I did shut it down and looking to get it replaced before using it. So you think one or two plies of duck-tape..
LoL! Well, do what ya can to get by, but order a replacement as soon as possible.
