just got this unit and got engine to run. bucket moes up and down fine but it will not go forward or reverse. shifter lights up as being in 2nd when 1st or 4th. this is in forward and reverse. check light flashes and the park brake light does not come on with switch in either position. any clues?
Check the range and hi lo selector coils on valve body of trans. One will be burnt out.
will this make it act like the parking brake will not release?
Is it flashing any codes? Have you tried the manual spool?
no codes, when you put it in forward drive shaft turns slightly but when you give it fuel no movement. when your in 1st dash says 2nd. fuse for parking brakes blew twice but when i check the amp draw thru the fuse it's only .84 amps. the three brake bolts on the transmission were backed out when i got it and wouldn't move then. turned bolts in to normal running position and that's where they are now. tried the park brake release switch in fuse box with no change. just got done replacing the transmission filter to see if that helps. If the hi low solenoids were messing up and trying to engage two gears at once would that lock up the transmission or is that not possible with this transmission? when you put it in reverse the drive shaft does not turn at all.
trany filter no help. you can hear engine load up very slightly when you put it in forward but not at all in reverse.
Sounds like you have it in auto and that's why it says 2nd and your in 1st. Check the park brake circuit electrical side.
