Not sure if this should be in the machine control section but I'm just wondering if anyone has any hours on the new Komatsu D61pxi-23 (Integrated Machine Control). Just wondering how it compares to dozers with a typical mast GPS system. I've never sat in a komatsu and was also wondering what the opinion is on their forward designed cab. Thanks.
Can't give my true opinion just yet because I haven't been on a Komatsu i. But we did a demo out on a site with a company that was running one. We had a dual mast Trimble system on a Cat D6N working all over the site (flat pad areas and ditches with 3:1 slopes). They wouldn't let us on the Komatsu and always kept it working on flat pad areas of the job. So, I didn't see anything about it that impressed me much.
