Testa Corp's Southern Division began demolition of four 100 ft iron clad abandoned furnaces in rural Virginia the week of June 23rd, 2009. Armed with their Komatsu PC1250 equipped with a Jewell Demolition Package, a 100 foot Jewell High Reach, a 20 foot extension and 6.5 tons of additional counterweight the machine weighs in at 200 tons. Each furnace, with a diameter of over 30 feet, is stuffed with a honeycomb of fire brick totalling over 5,000 cubic yards of material. Enough to fill approx. 8 railroad cars each. Shot in time-lapse, real-time HD and Tilt-Shift and Digital Stills on Canon equipment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10JmGXyKm3Y

Testa takes VERY good care of their equipment. They have a Grove GMK 7550 mobile crane that still looks brand new and its 6 years old and very well used. Whenever I post images of it the peanut gallery comment is always 'It must be nice to be working with a new machine'.....
Outside of Roanoke, VA.....
Another great video! Those PC1250's are amazing. Keep up the great work..its fun to watch.
