Testa Corp's Komatsu 1250 fitted with a LaBounty Shear makes short work of a 50 million gallon oil tank in CT this past winter. This unit is fitted with Jewell's demolition conversion package which accepts the extended boom or the UHD attachment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2uE5vdE7B4
Awesome vid. Looks like a big can opener.
Looks like over Kill. Around here we would use 300 or 330 at most 400 for that. But bigger is better.:cool2
Wow- really? Let's see some pics of you with a 300 taking down a 50 MILLION gallon tank!!
The first half of this video was shot in less than 2 hours time. Around here we do things a little different. This was no water tank. This held oil. While the thickness of the roof and top level of steel was 3/8 inch thick plate the two levels below were 1/2 thick down to 3/4 inch thick with the base layer being 1 inch thick steel plate. Did you notice how hard it was taking, for even this sized machine and shear to cut through and manage the base layer in the last 10 seconds of the video? I'd like to see even your 400 handle that job, with no down time.
I second that I would love to see that also
