I'm looking at a 99' komatsu 380 with 8220 hours jrb coupler, rake and bucket for $72000. And a 98' cat 950 with 13000 hours forks and bucket and all the maintenance records for the life of the machine for $75000. Neither machine has had any major repairs, and cosmeticly they look very nice. Any thoughts on which one to go after. Kinda leaning toward the Komatsu due to the lower hours, even though a cat was first on my list.
As long as you have records and can take oil samples, I'd go with the Cat. If they were brand new, I'd go Komatsu. Remember, no samples, no deal.
