Does any one no what fuel pressure should be at the common rail? Here is my problem. A friend owns a small construction company. He has a Komatsu 480 5-L it just shut off with bucket in air like you turn the key off. He had the local komatsu dealer up to the pit and they told him the pump fail. They replace pump, still would not run, they then said that all injectors had fail and wanted to replace them. The owner call and asked if I would look at it. The old pump show some wear but did not have a major failure broke, gear,etc. So I started to check out system, first all lines clear, clean primary, replace seconardy, pump fuel valves have 24 volts, fuel pressue switch has recommended 5 volts, remove the pressure limiting valve looks good, check all relays, inigition switch and all connectors all seem to be ok. I have power at the Ecm. Do not have power at injectors when cranking over engine. When you crank engine over injector lines seem to have some fuel. It does not smoke like it is injecting any fuel. Anybody have any advice on problem. It almost seems to me that it is either the Ecm or maybe the fuel pressure sensor in the common rail, not sure what its function is. Also had no fault codes. Sure could use some help.
