Just got back from a field trip to visit some customers running a D155AX at a biomass generating plant in Maine. Apparently on a cold day the steam coming off these piles is so thick that you have to operate the dozer by "feel" :cool2 The basic version: The edited version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFzs_kWKEEM
Very impressive :thumbsup. Wouldn't mind a closer look at that tipping table that looks impressive also, if a bit slow
Youtube took too long Here's the basic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMRaFIOa3KQ
We had a pile of chips on site one time that kept catching on fire cause it was getting so hot inside.
an impresive blade!Do you do attachments for every brand in the market?
Thanks EF87445, we do. You can check out the website link at the bottom of this post. Give us a shout.
Hello VeePlow, thanks for sharing this video, I really enjoyed watching it. When u ask me, a U-blade on a dozer can't be large enuff! LOL Looks like wood chips are quiet a nice material to run a dozer in. Beside the risk of fire, are there any specific problems caused by wood chips you have to take care of? I could imagine that dust could be a serious issue... I browsed thru the Craig sites and found another interesting blade that you call heavy-duty U-blade or HDU. Now THAT's built massive! Never seen a blade this before...even the tilt/tipp cylinders are well protected by this massive looking side plates. Wow! Can you give us some further informations about this, please? Salute, Max
wow!you guys do very nice attachments!!I love them! They looks great and have nice design!
That is true. Chip and bark piles are the same. On a cold day when you cut down into the pile you can't see anything because of the steam. For the chip or bark piles to catch fire they have to be there quite a while, 6 months plus. We put lights on our hoppers so we can tell wich way to push, night vision is almost nonexistent. Craig makes very nice stuff, we have their chip blade on our Deere 1050c. AK
Craig does build darn good products. Weve used their buckets on our 375 and ex300, I also installed many of their attachments while at the caterpillar dealer. Was very impressed with their Grader wing blade setups. I also noticed they use very high grade steel as our craig 375 bucket lasted twice as long as our cat bucket.
do you have any pictures of your dozer?
