I have a komatsu d31e-20 that is having trouble pushing. When you start to dig into dirt the tracks will come to a stop. If I leave it throttled up and wait about 10-15 second it will push and even spin the tracks for about 10-15 seconds and then stop again. I have checked and cleaned the strainer filter in transmission and cleaned and put new fluid in. It didn't help at all. Also had a guy check transmission pump pressures and they were good. That guy thought it might be clutch packs. What else could be wrong with it maybe control valve? Anyone else have this problem before?
The clutch packs were the problem. Dozer pushes fine now. Total for parts and labor $5000.
