Hey Ive got a mine spec D375A-6 with 6ooo hours on the clock, and dirt has made it past the floating seal protection housing, and jammed up the floating seal, causing it to spin the toric rings, melting the toric rings and causing seal failure, does anyone know of a factory update/product improvement for this model? I know some of the earlier Cat D10's D11's etc had a seal carrier update to prevent this sort of failure, I wonder if Komatsu has implemented a such a thing. Cheers Core
Hi Core, Long story short yes Komatsu has introduced an improvement for this problem namely the labyrinth covers and collar. Being a -6 i wouldve thought it would have been rectified. Best to contact your closest Komatsu branch in NZ.
Hi Must be a bit of an issue with these,there is one at work done under 4000 hrs both sides have been replaced.
