Komatsu D61EX dozer Mod# D61EX-15 Ser# B40908 ID# KMT0D062C51B40908 The machine was burned and all the wiring (Dash and engine harness) was replaced. When you try and start it the shutdown solenoid does not pull in. You turn the key to the on position and you can manually push the solenoid in and it holds to start. Where does the solenoid get it's power from to pull the solenoid in when started? The solenoid was replaced with a new one but i don't seem to be getting power to the solenoid to pull it in. I figure that i should get power to pull the solenoid in while cranking then it gets hold power from the ignition switch. The machine got dumped into my lap to fix the problem. Where does the solenoid get it's power from when you try starting it ,Start solenoid or ignition switch ? I have power to hold the solenoid with the key on you can push the solenoid in by hand and it holds. My thought is that they left a wire off somewhere or maybe a relay is missing. Been waiting for a shop manual for the wiring schmatics.
