I have a D31P-17 dozer. The spring on left tensioner is broken. tensioner works fine. Can I run it this way with spring broken. Everything is in place that I can tell. Discovered this when I was replacing chain and sprockets.
the spring is what keeps other parts from breaking I would replace it wile it is apart
You likely can find a used recoil assembly pretty reasonable. How many coils are broken?
