hi would the hydraulic pump and functions work ok, if the LS-EPC and PC-EPC wires, on the main hyd pump were not connected on a PC270-7 or any other -7 machine ? does anyone know of a dash 7 komatsu that's working without the electrics connected on the hydraulic pump ? the electric wires are a shambles and the computer does not work. The problem im having is the machine stalls under any load, and cannot even track back or forth.
can you convert it to a mechanical cable for the throttle ?
There is no way that pump will work correctly with no load sense or control pressure signals to the PVC.
It already has a home made manual throttle. Would the pump not be like in slow mode without the load sensor connected ?
If the Dash 7 is anything like the Dash 6 you can make it work but you won't like the production you get out of it. Basically you turn the TVCs in so the pump won't overload the motor. There used to be non electronic Dash 5 and 6 machines built to work in the wet areas of Asia. I worked on a couple of Dash 5 machines in my area and looked at a Dash 6 sitting at a curb stoner's lot. Load sense was always a strictly hydraulic function in a Komatsu in the earlier machines. Is there something different in the Dash 7 units? Also the the EPC functions were only a backup to keep the pumps from over running the engine. There was only supposed to be certain circumstances where they would exert control. Is that different now?
