My fuel lifting pump has gone bad. Has anyone replaced the fuel lifting pump with an electrical pump? Does anyone know the fuel flow and pressures from the original lifting pump? Thanks
What has failed ? Have you checked there are no blockages in the banjo fittings and the valves in the pump . I put in an electric pump on a Nissan LD28 diesel motor and it was the quickest and cheapest fix I've done for awhile , they work . The pump itself failed. I was looking at installing the Carter Universal Rotary Vane Electric Fuel Pumps P4603HD.
Thats a high flow pump close to 20 times more flow than needed and expensive .
As said above, there is a screen in the inlet banjo bolt on the lift pump. Like this image, although the screen is white plastic, not brass. And, if the lift pump is truly bad, why reinvent the wheel?
The output to the inj pump inlet should be 25 psi +.. (25-35 psi)
